Fafalels
1 can of chickpeas, drained
1 medium onion, chopped finely
1-2 cloves garlic, finely chopped or crushed
2 tsp ground cumin
2 tsp ground coriander
6 tbsp chopped parsley (Less if it's dried)
1/2 tsp chilli powder
2 rounded tbsp plain flour
1 tsp salt
Oil for shallow frying.
1. Add all ingredients to food processor and pulse until texture of coarse breadcrumbs.
2. Take about 1/2 tbsp and roll into a ball, until sticky and then roll in extra flour. Do the same for the rest of the mixture
3. Heat oil until really hot, and then fry falafels until golden, turning regularly.
Serve in a pitta bread with salad; traditionally with mint sauce but I put in cheese as it's yummy!
