Dear Sink,
I started off well but I have been lacking commitment recently!
Where shall I start? Frenchie left on tues; was quite emotional on Monday night - cried myself to sleep; so dramatic! LOL. It already seems like an eternity ago that she left. Patiently waiting on blogs of her adventures!
Not an awful lot happening, the house is in pretty bad shape; I've been really lazy this week - I'm hoping with Keith off this week I will get motivated.
Keith is away out tonight, hence the reason why I'm online. He and Kitch spent the day laying flooring in the living room - finally got rid of our smeggy carpet. It makes such a difference it is unreal, I am so much more positive about this house because the reception room is not embarrassing! The flooring will make a home birth so much easier! LOL.
Keith is off on a much deserved holiday this week, and we have decided to go away for the next weekend to Keswick, Keith's second home. I'm really looking forward to it, and Phoenix won't stop talking about Mountains! I have never been away with Keith, or Phoenix for that matter; First Proper Holiday. I have ordered a new camera especially for the occasion, and we have bought Phoenix a pair of hiking boots. I want to hire bikes but Keith is not too keen. There is a stone circle just outside Keswick which we will definitely be going to, just a shame it isn't the Summer Solstice. I would love to be at Stonehenge for either Summer or Winter Solstice; perhaps even the one at Keswick will give us some fertility! Hehe.
Not bad going; didn't mention babies for a few paragraphs in. Roll on Tuesday and May 1st... Except I have already ovulated this cycle; albeit 2 days earlier than last cycle; so won't get pregnant this cycle. I am hoping the reason why I ovulated earlier was due to the fact my body was getting used to having the implanon removed. A few Internet sources say that the first part of a woman's cycle, the follicular phase, can vary cycle to cycle, but I am slightly worried as I increased my evening primrose oil from 1000mg to 1500mg per day. [Mental Image warning!] It certainly made a big difference to my cervical mucus this month; I am so glad that May is finally here. Feels like I have been treading water waiting for it coming. Keith has been a real sweetheart about having a baby recently; feel like this is just the perfect time for us - everything is just clicking.
I had a little health check last Friday at a forum that I was volunteering at. Cholesterol, glucose and blood pressure where all check. And I am pleased to say that I was perfect for all of them. It really enforced the healthy eating that I strive to give my family, and of course myself. One of my biggest goals in life is to see my 50th Birthday. Anything after that is a gift.
What else, Phoenix and I tried to go in the town this afternoon; but Phoenix was sick on the bus! The biggest amount I have ever seen. Luckily, we had got on the bus early, and it went through the loop of our scheme, and we were only 5 minutes from home when it happened. The bus driver had to ask everyone else to leave the bus so that he could get a clean one. Quite embarrassing thinking of it now, but I was only thinking of Phoenix at the time. He had the sick all down him, and I carried him home so I got the sick wetness on me. Yuck. He spent most of the afternoon sleeping, and has been sick a further 4 times. He hasn't been sick since 7ish so hopefully that's the end of it.
I will post some recipes that I have been meaning to do.
Goodbye for now!
